Description
This PDF unit of RE introduces pupils to some of the philosophical questions about belief in God. It seeks to enable pupils to deal with questions about the nature of God (from a Judaeo-Christian perspective) and arguments about the reality and nature of God.
The unit can be further developed to include consideration of Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist or Muslim beliefs. There is some consideration of agnostic and atheist ideas as well. Instead of being just a course about arguments, the unit tries to offer creative, imaginative ways of exploring the meaning of beliefs about God that relate to experience. Questions about God and suffering will be highlighted.
Suitable for years 8 & 9.
