In this book on Buddhists we have tried to enrich the encounter your students have by including interviews with lay and ordained Buddhists, looking at the contemporary art of Gonkar Gyatso, exploring some statistics on Buddhists in the UK and the world, inviting some top academics to give their scholarly views and preparing your students for examination study on the complexities of the arhat and Bodhisattva paths.
The activities are intended to help your students deepen their understanding of the Buddha’s path and Buddhist practices, and to get them thinking about the relationship between suffering, happiness and the modern world.
